Transcendence x Selfridges
The Transcendence concept developed during the visual merchandising module was selected by the module lecturers to be presented to Selfridges. The installation design was then chosen by the Creative Presentation team at Selfridges to be brought to life in store. Involved in adapting the design to suit the store layout, resourcing materials, designing elements of the installation, and attending in-store and virtual meetings. The final installation was in place at the Selfridges store in Birmingham for two months during summer 2021.
Offered a two week internship with the Selfridges visual merchandising team following individual contributions to the Transcendence installation. Gained experience in the process of moving from idea generation to installation build and gained a greater understanding of the importance to detail and customer experience. Attended creative meetings that discussed upcoming campaigns and tasks completed include styling and dressing mannequins, applying vinyl for the graphics within the store, assisting with installation builds, floor standards and floor moves.
