Work Experience
During my studies I gained a variety of invaluable experience. I was a social media manager for On|Off London in preparation for its London Fashion Week showcase, where I was assistant to the founder of the company at the final show. In addition to this, I completed several internships at a variety of different organisations, including luxury branding agencies, independent fashion brands and larger retailers including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Across these companies I was able to learn from a variety of different teams including marketing, event management, PR, visual merchandising and graphic design. London Fashion Week.
Managed the social media for On|Off London in preparation for the London Fashion Week February 2023 showcase. Role consisted of assisting with the pre-show studio shoot, editing and distributing the showreel for the show, liaising with the founder, PR manager and collaborators, and interviewing collaborators and designers and editing and distributing the subsequent content on Instagram and Youtube. Assisted On|Off’s founder at the final show and collated content following the show for a final documentary.
Harvey Nichols.
Assisted with implementing the Christmas visual merchandising install in the Birmingham store. Involved with creating Christmas decorations, product and mannequin styling, and vinyl application. Developed creativity, team-working and communication skills.
Luxury Branding.
Attended meetings to learn more about the branding process including research, ideation, and creative concepts. Completed a research task for a live brief and wrote an opinion piece titled ‘From Magazine to Hotel: Curators or Creators? ‘ which was subsequently published on the Luxury Branding website.
Studio Karro.
Developed the marketing strategy for the designer brand through idea generation and strategic planning. Created content for social media, took streetstyle product photos and assisted with producing merchandise and preparing for pop-up shops and fashion shows, including designing labels and price tags. Gained an understanding of the luxury Chinese consumer, with this being the target consumer for the brand. Used Chinese social media platform ‘Little Red Book’ to effectively target the luxury consumer.
